Music is wild because I am the opposite. I usually only look into a song's lyrics after I already like the instrumentals/melodies.
I'm way, way late to this but I can't get over how good Wyatt's Song is. I absolutely love it. I've always been a sideline fan of this band but this may be the record that gets me in full-time.
Went to the Jersey Shore yesterday. Was wishing this was out. Just get such Jersey shore vibes from the roll out
Haha very true. I've been good about not overplaying Wyatt's Song since it came out. Might listen to this one a few times and then put it down until album release
reading Dan's facts/comments on the different songs on the album on TWY insta has me really excited for this to come out, still feels like a long time to go
if anything I thought that was how this would go but you know vinyl sales are a big thing for this band so it makes more sense skipping the other singles.
Yeah I'm skipping any further singles and not listening to the ones already released until album drops
This release cycle has reminded me how much I hate drawn out releases like this. I love The Wonder Years, but God, this feels like waiting for a 1975 record.
Yeah Hopeless does not have a clue how to release an album I don’t think they have botched basically every record they’ve had since covid
What happened to their own imprint? Bummed that never went anywhere. I think it was still under the Hopeless umbrella though.
Skipping the single, only heard Wyatt's Song twice (though I was supposed to skip that one too, but I liked the teaser for the video too much). 7 minutes was fine by me, already loved it at my initial listen, but I was really disappointed to find out it's the closer! Don't want to ruin that closer feeling like that!
I intentionally tried to listen to Wyatt’s Song once, but I think I’ve played it every day since it’s release lol I will most certainly do what I can to hold off any future releases until the album.
