LPOE Fest will be 37 for me. Last time we discussed this I think @JaytotheGee had the Chorus record and was at 50+
I saw them live 10 or 12 years ago at a festival. Great show, but for some reason I didn't get into them after that. A couple of weeks ago I saw this thread and decided to give it another shot. I must admit that I've been missing out. This is amazing and I just keep on listening. The first couple albums are harder to get into, but everything from The Greatest Generation on sounds great. Glad I decided to listen again!
My TGG box set came in the mail this morning. Stellar product just like the last box set they did. Sound quality is leagues better than original single LP pressing I have from Hopeless. I might like the We Could Die Like This demo better than the record version. The demo of the unreleased song, Need You, is actually an early but quite good take on the Aaron West song, St. Joe Keeps Us Safe! Hope somebody rips these as I would love to listen to these on the go with Spotify.
Damn, mine hasn’t shipped yet. Hopefully it’ll show up when I get back from LPOE and New York this weekend
Don’t think anyone’s added it yet. I have a few I’m waiting to add but am too lazy to do it myself haha
Mine got delivered today to my apartment mail locker. Mailman forgot to put the key to unlock the box in my slot. Cool!
I'm bummed the weather isn't looking super great for the fest in Philly this weekend, but hopefully it'll clear up
If anyone ends up ripping the demos on TGG boxset, please PM me! I got a copy but no way of ripping them.
I’ll try to get to it this weekend (which is what I said about the last set then it took me six months).
Here’s a folder with those demos, the Sister Cities demos, and the Burst and Decay live record that was never released digitally. The Wonder Years - Google Drive
Does anyone else feel like this stage setup is going to be a mess lol? Why is it at an angle like that? And if everyone has to enter/exit the stage area through that one thin hallway that happens to also be where the bathrooms are? Yikes!
Yeah, that space where the outdoor bathrooms are is maybe two cars wide and gets crowded enough while leaving a show. Seems like a weird decision, but at least they have the indoor bathrooms available, too.
I've only been to one other show at that venue outdoors and it was 10-11 years ago. Was a great time and didn't seem like a shit show from what I remember.
