I have listened to Cul De Sac ta LOT and cannot fmake out most of the backing vocals. That has always dampened my enjoyment of the song. Not among my favourites on TGG let alone their entire career.
Yeah its never really stood out to me. Surprised it's anyones favourite let alone multiple people haha. Thats the cool thing about music though.
All The Hum songs are middle of the pack for me outside of Summer Clothes and Friends Like Lost Teeth
I've tried many times to get into Hum as I'd consider TWY my favorite band and I just don't understand how it's so beloved, feels like a regression to me in so many ways. Could also just be when the band has out-matured me in terms of themes and where they are in life, so it just doesn't have the immediacy all their other LPs do for me.
Yeah Hum is easily their best, most consistent work for me. I think I'd take every song on there over Cul-de-sac.
Hum and TGG are equal for me since they feel like the best end of the culmination of the records that come before them Upsides -> TGG, then NCTH -> Hum

I’m sure they would have wanted to hear each of our lists of all 110 of their songs read aloud to them. Haha.
I started logging concerts I've gone to for archival purposes and noticed that when I see them on this upcoming anniversary tour, I'll have seen TWY 10 times... pretty neat, and that puts them at almost a third of all shows I've been to!
I've seen them once. And it was a festival set. I know they have families and other commitments now but pleeeeease come back to Australia!!
Also I'll do my list at some stage. And I'd be interested to see a combined list if someone had the time once the individual ones are done.....
This tour will be the 9th time for me. Because they didn’t come to Oklahoma for like 7 years, had to drive to Texas twice (in 2020 and 2022) and will be driving to Texas again in a few weeks
Dallas for me, it’s only about 2.5 hours from me. So gonna leave work early, go straight to the show and get home around 2 AM I guess! Gonna be terrible!
I sympathize, I live out in West Texas now so any show is about a 5 hour drive for me, so I always have to grab lodging too. Luckily Tenacious D is playing close enough that I booked both dates and am making a trip to see both in one go.
I started logging concerts recently since my memory is shit and I forget how many times I see different artists. I think October will be my fifth or sixth time. They’ll be tied with Coheed.
I finally made a concert spreadsheet to keep track of everything I’ve been to a few years ago. I’ve only seen these guys twice. Back in 2012 and earlier this year
