Toronto. On the Hum tour, their show here was originally booked for the Danforth music hall (1500 cap), but it sold so well they moved it to History (2500) and it was pretty close to being sold out. Now they’re playing the Phoenix, which is right around 1250. Misspoke before when I said 1100. Found that pretty strange
Been trying to give this album more of a chance after seeing more of this forum higher on the album than me... but it still just isn't hitting for me, I like Summer Clothes and the final two tracks a fair amount but kinda feel apathetic to everything else.
Really hyped to see these guys again next month. They’re on the main stage at 2000 Trees festival here in the UK and it’s great to see them progress up the bill over the years. I do think they’ve sort of plateaued, but they’re also 15 years in, that’s pretty normal.
Shot my shot and have sent Dan a DM on Instagram asking about a potential handwritten lyric for a tattoo it is, of course, 'put the work in, plant a garden, try to stay afloat'
I haven't listened to any songs by these guys since suburbia but randomly had low tide come on Spotify and was really blown away. Listened to this album and I can't stop playing it. Really impressed with how far they've come since suburbia and now I gotta check out everything in between.
Each of their albums usually has 3-4 songs I really like and the rest gets ignored. The Hum... is start to finish excellent. I keep coming back to it. They just knocked it out of the park.
The Greatest Generation and the new one are the two essential albums they've put out in the meantime. Have fun!
The new album sounds like The Killers. ….sorry, I had to. On a serious note, someone convince me the openers are decent enough to go to LPOE festival if I can grab second hand tickets. I tried getting into Origami Angel and just can’t make it happen.
UK run of The Greatest Generation shows announcing Monday with support from Origami Angel and Kississippi
anyone know of where I can find it or have a download of the instrumental burst & decay version of you in January? fiancé wants to walk down the aisle t
