Mark Hoppus being involved with this in any capacity just makes me so happy. Two of my favourite things colliding, especially after what Mark has been through recently, never thought I'd see the day.
Damn, so is the new song not out until noon tomorrow? I apologize in advance for never truly understanding what 12am vs 12pm to mean, it is very confusing. For all my VPN folks out there, does that mean it is no longer available in NZ?
It should still be there if you set your VPN to NZ (or Australia or Japan). It'll be on US streaming services at midnight eastern time tonight, then the music video and album preorders are noon eastern time tomorrow.
Cool, just over here in my empty house alone working to move in, crying to “Wyatt’s Song” as I listen for the first time and I don’t even want kids. Prepared to give them whatever money I have left tomorrow.
This might sound really dumb and obvious but Dan (and I'm sure the other guys too but especially Dan) can write some really powerful stuff. Like I didn't play high school football, not really friends with anyone who did either, but Dan's song Coming Up For Air from Clear Eyes Fanzine makes me SOB
I was trying to make out the lyrics at the end of the clip and I’m pretty sure it’s “Put the work in, plant a garden, try to stay afloat” which is such a Dan lyric and pulls at my heartstrings in all the right ways
I wasn't aware that they had done these album trailers before? I'm not a real fan I guess! But this is great.
I definitely remember the Sister Cities and TGG ones very vividly. But was there a NCTH trailer? My memory is that they just dropped Cardinals one day in June/July and announced the album that way but I could be very off in that memory
The wait for this album is going to be tough. It’s honestly the first new one from them I’ve been excited for; until about a year ago I wasn’t a big fan outside of a few singles. Even now I’m kind of surprised these three songs are as good as they are, and the fact they seem genuinely stoked about the album has me extremely excited.
Feels like every album cycle with this band goes with a major milestone in my life. This time, me and my wife are moving into a house, I'm leaving a job of 9 years to finally do something with my degree, and the album comes out a week after our 1 year wedding anniversary. Love this band so much. I know I've probably said that ten times in this thread since yesterday, but just such a special band
