I'll get things started in classic Chorus fashion Sister Cities The Greatest Generation Suburbia The Upsides NCTH GSOI!
Sister Cities Suburbia The Upsides No Closer to Heaven The Greatest Generation Get Stoked on It! enjoy you fucks
pretty good ranking you fuck also GSOI! is an album they've disowned so it's dead last in parentheses by default TGG Sister Cities NCTH Suburbia Upsides (GSOI)
Wouldn't it be cool if we were astronauts The Greatest Generation Suburbia, I've Given You All & Now I'm Nothing No Closer To Heaven The Upsides Sister Cities Get Stoked On It!
The Greatest Generation Sister Cites (Their best album, but not overall favorite of mine) Suburbia No Closer to Heaven The Upsides Get Stoked on It!
This is tough and my rankings always change but atm SC = Suburbia TGG NCTH Everything else isn't good
GSOI is such a fun record as are all the songs in between it and Upsides Maybe I only think that because that's when I started listening but I'll always love all those songs Otherwise: TGG Suburbia Upsides NCTH Sister Cities I could probably interchange the last two, but I definitely listened to SC way less than I listened to NCTH. NCTH has the weaker tracks though. Patsy, Palm Reader and the title track are all mostly skippers for me. I also really don't like We Look Like Lightning for some reason
Maybe I should revisit The Upsides but I remember not really digging it much every time I tried to listen to it. GSOI is just embarrassing from what I remember
It is crazy how bad 99% of GSOI is haha. I can't believe I repped them as hard as I did when just that album was out. Won't Be Pathetic Forever was really doing some heavy lifting there. EDIT: Tbf, some of the lyrics on the Upsides are even more embarrassing. Mainly because they were supposed to be serious. It's cool to see how Dan's writing evolved dramatically over their discography.
I honestly think it's a time and place record, I can't imagine listening to it for the first time today and thinking it was good at all. It was just a huge gamechanger at the time and hit a lot of people in that age range super hard
Yeah I get that. That was right before I started branching out my music tastes haha so I guess I missed the boat
