The Upsides and Suburbia are equally my favorite, but every album of there's has matched up with a point that I am at in life, so I still really liked the last one.

Was really hoping for the song to release tonight but I doubt it now. Also I revisited TGG yesterday after 2 years and I actually like it even more now. Definitely their best so far.

Listening to it again, and I can't believe that people said that Rain Dance in Traffic was filler during the initial album cycle. It is killer.

I Won't Say The Lord's Prayer is the best TWY song

I personally wouldn't say it's killer but I definitely think it serves its purpose in the album.

Honestly after 60 pages I don't even want the single. This thread was satisfying enough.

Perhaps this whole time WE were the new music? Like this whole thing was to teach a less about coming together to share hot takes on pop-punk and fast food?

I’ve already eaten Nacho Fries more than I’ve revisited TGG in 5 years.

Retrospectively, Lord’s Prayer doesn’t hold up and reads to me as kinda gross and condescending

i disagree but thats just me. maybe its from a southern upbringing but that song is startlingly accurate

Lord's Prayer helped me come to terms with being an atheist at the time

High school me appreciated the fuck out of that song. (Also raised in the bible belt)

Lord's Prayer really landed with me after losing the ol religion. Also the "somebody else" part is one of the better bridges that has ever graced these lands.

Lord's Prayer is fantastic. Always loved that song, it was one of the first album tracks on that album I got into.

I see we are ranking things so:

    Suburbia > TGG > Upsides > NCTH

Suburbia is a 10, the next two are 9's, and NCTH is a solid 8.

I fully expect this to be NCTH 2.0, refined and better.

This is the correct ranking if we're being honest. Though, the top 3 switch places pretty regularly so it's hard to pin down.

  19. TGG > Suburbia >> NCTH > The Upsides

And I fucking love The Upsides, in case you were wondering.

And what a way you won me over

I didn’t get into TWY until NCTH, so no nostalgia attached, but Suburbia is probably my favourite.

    Suburbia > NCTH > TGG > Upsides

Lord’s Prayer is an amazing song with some really great lyrics and is just further proof that these guys are more than “just a pop-punk band,” even on an album with mostly pop-punk songs.

“If Lot was righteous, I think I’d rather not be” is so damn good.
