I usually go and listen to the last one, I'll give the greatest generation a try.

TGG and Suburbia are both great. I have a personal connection to The Upsides but I don't think you would like that one

That record has not held up for me hahaha

I don't think it's really held up for me either, like I don't listen to it really anymore but I still would consider it one of my all time favorites

I actually rarely listen to this band at all anymore which is strange

Sampler platter of 4 different songs:

Everyone will die, everyone will lose

Cause I won't be here to dry your tears
    Send the kids my love
    Happy anniversary
Promise me you'll laugh, my dear, after I am gone

    Loneliness, I don't exist, that's fine, okay
A slickened wrist and all of this will end, okay?
Hey Box Elder, I'm terrified of everything at night
Hey Box Elder, I'm terrified of what I lack inside me

Too heavy to hold my own evaporating soul
Sweltered and sandwiched in the middle
Of this melting heart of major compromise
I have one foot out and one foot almost in
    I am sick of listening

Is this thread contentious enough to start ranking other bands albums yet?

Haha yea point taken, they really trick me with how uplifting the melodies are (especially Box Elder). I still think it ultimately comes together to make a positive message when taken as a whole, but some of the individual songs are brutal.

I couldn’t stand The Upsides when it came out, finally got into it myfreshman year of college, and I haven’t really listened to it much since then.

I'm 4 songs in and I just don't know if this is for me. on paper it sounds like I should like it. I bet if i found this band like 10 years ago they would be my jam

TWY is really more than just a pop-punk band at this point. Not that they were ever just another run-of-the-mill pop-punk band back in The Upsides days, either. I mean, they even changed their twitter handle from "@twypoppunk" to "@thewonderyears."

    Let's rank bands instead.
    1)The Fray
2)The Used, but only The Canyon
3)The Wonder Years, the TV show
4)The Wonder Years, they have one or two good songs

Yeah absolutely, Justin has a way of injecting energy into anything he's singing.

I've come to the realization that Nacho Fries taste just like Arby's fries except they're not curly.

oh yeah it's super close, it's more the fact that i'm not down to go camp in a dirt field filled with shirtless quebs pounding back labatt 50 from 6AM to 4AM the next day haha

Farthest i've went for a show is TWY/TSSF/PBC/IIOI/Transit in ottawa (okay so i have seen TWY since 2011). I don't think I'd travel outside of Montreal for a show (i won't even go to laval lmao) unless it was something really huge in new york/boston. would love to do boston calling or gov's ball one day.
go to spotify, listen to their top 5 songs, if you don't like any of them, you probably won't like this band.

They aren't as seasoned as Arby's fries. I was hoping for Rally's/Checkers level of seasoning, and I was disappointed. I'm also disappointed they took the stacker off the menu in favor of the fries. Those things were pretty dang good for a dollar.

The stacker was the best, I've been depressed without it

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

Oh I hear you. I went the last 2 years and didn't camp either time haha, just not for me. Last year I just drove back and forth each day. Looking into staying in Hawksbury this year.

Favorite Taco Bell menu item ever? As for ones that aren't there anymore, the cheesy double beef burrito and grande soft tacos got me through high school. Cheesy gordita crunch might be the best item ever though, along with grilled chicken chalupas.

Checkers has fan-freaking-tastic fries. Their shakes are really good too.

I grew up in Birmingham, AL, and we had a Rally's right next to us. There isn't a Rally's/Checkers within 100 miles of me now, and it is so disappointing.

EDIT: just checked, it's actually 55 miles, which isn't terrible, but you get the point.

I have one right next to my house now, and previously I had not lived within 20 miles of one. It’s amazing drunk food, ecspeically with it’s close proximity. Not the best on a normal day though.

Yeah, I honestly wonder if I'm over-romanticizing it due to not having access to it.
