    I don't think it's a case of elevating Fireworks; I definitely love NFG much more than I like Fireworks. Maybe I'm remembering but... which songs are you referring to exactly? Bands in the same genre probably borrow from the same sources, but there's probably like 15 "prominent" pop punk bands from that era that sound closer to NFG than Fireworks.

    NFG's record that year wasn't even that bad, and AL4W put out their only decent one. I was ALL ABOUT pop punk in 2011.

    EDIT: just remembered Separation came out that year too, yeah 2011 was officially my favorite year of music.

    After hearing a better rip of We Look Like Lightning, I think it's a pretty good song. I'm not completely blown away by it though.

    same. It seems that pretty much every important artist that shaped my late teens/early 20s came out with a great record that year.
