No, that's not what I'm saying. Re-read it. What I said was that people don't wanna admit there's a lot of sound influence from a band they don't like in a band they do like. And you've described here a good example of why people like one band over the other ... a big part of that is time and place. Doesn't change the overwhelmingly obvious influence, down to melodies that are straight up right out of that era. Hell, Chad Glibert helped write early Fireworks songs ... of course it's there. I get why people don't wanna talk about the linage though. NFG wasn't cool to anyone under a certain age.
