i guess i should check this out. haven't really liked anything since me vs. the highway but this praise is pretty overwhelming.
I get it. I get why people really like those songs but they just don't do anything for me. When I love a song from the band, I really love it. On the Funeral discussion, I think what ruined it a bit for me is reading about it. I do really like the 'two birds...' part of it but I went in to it expecting a Cartel-esque 'A' moment and that's definitely the best example of a band doing a coda callback song and I love that. I expected that on Funeral and didnt get it. On this album... Raining In Kyoto is doing it for me. I absolutely love that into Pyramids of Salt and I'm really on board. Heavens still is a real misstep but I'm connecting with this more each listen. Can't wait to form more opinions.
