The Wonder Years have shared a new version of “Wyatt’s Song (Your Name).” Philadelphia’s The Wonder Years share a stunning reimagining of “Wyatt’s Song (Your Name),” a deeply personal track written by frontman Dan Campbell for his older son, Wyatt. The original is from their critically-acclaimed album The Hum Goes On Forever, and the new version appears on Burst & Decay Vol. III, out May 9 via Hopeless Records; and its emotional core shines through a stripped-back, lo-fi lens. I get what they were going for here and I really liked it for the first little bit. But once the "lo-fi lens" is removed the song really shines. It's unfortunate that more than half of the song has that "lens" on it. Maybe it'll grow on me.
