How the hell is this album 10 already?

 

I remember around the time sister cities came out, Dan was saying how he felt NCTH was “not a full step forward for the band”. And I still think about that quote sometimes.
It’s so awesome that they get to revisit this and put it out properly. I loved this record. Still do. Don’t revisit it fully much anymore. This will change that.

 

Solid album. I remember blasting it on a drive from San Diego to Palm Springs. I will need to revisit this one.

 

always thought this album needed a re-mix

 

I remember the mix being an issue for a lot of people on its initial release. I've loved this album from its release and very excited to hear a better mixed version. It did wonders for Copacetic by Knuckle Puck. I'm all on board with bands doing this when they're not fully satisfied with the way an album sounds.

 

This is the album of theirs I would like the most if I discovered The Wonder Years today. The early stuff hit because it was the right time and place but on its own without any extra emotional connection this is the one for me.

Side note: went for something to wear yesterday and I think I am finally retiring my TWY shirt from back in the day. The sleeves are more hole than fabric now but man I loved it

 

I agree with the sentiment that the mix isn’t the best and it lets down the songs, some of which are top notch. Very curious about what they will do with it.

This album was THE album that made me fall completely into TWY instead of just liking a few of their songs, so it's one of my faves. That said I always thought the mix wasn't great and I'm curious to see how the remix/remaster goes.
