Yeah, he did. I knew he wrote that and Nacho Libre. He wrote Orange County too which I remember enjoying a lot.
I don’t watch many series. Can someone recommend something with similar tone to this? Also don’t usually have much TV time so the shorter the series the better
It’s definitely got its own sort of vibe which I love about it. Funny, satirical, thrilling, cringeworthy, hypnotic. I’d say Succession in that it’s about rich people and that there are a lot of moments that make me feel unsure whether to laugh or wince. Raises some deep (yet approachable) philosophical questions regarding colonialism and class.
Just binged this over the past few days and absolutely loved it. I was bummed about the endings for Rachel and Belinda’s story arcs, but the dark finish made sense with the tone of the show. Excited for season 2 but mostly gonna miss seeing Armond
I was also a bit disappointed with the finale. But maybe, just maybe Shane killing someone changed his perspective on life and things might not be so abysmal with Rachel anymore? Just wishful thinking, I'm sure.
