Yea, a lot left to happen in the last episode - we really haven't closed up any plot lines or revealed much, but just kept the build up going. Still another enjoyable episode. A few random thoughts: - i felt like Chloe was trying to run a scam with GreGary on Saxon in what was only the 2nd weirdest sex story this season, but im not so sure when it didnt go anywhere. - i think the shootout will be between the robbers / maybe the bodyguards, and Gaitok. If a guest dies, it's some other way. Tim dying in a drug / alcohol induced heart attack? Accidental drowning? Poison smoothie? Rick dying im 50/50 on.
You’re definitely not supposed to mix alcohol and lorazepam and Tim has been doing an awful lot of that lol
ill put this in spoilers since it is in the finale promo trailer but tim has a lot of questions about the poison fruit
My feeling was Gary was lying about being a cuck so he could kill or at least beat up chloe and Saxon
Last night I was thinking that perhaps Tim goes back to the security booth to get the gun and just so happens to show up during a confrontation between the Russians and Gaitok and chaos ensues but watch it be like, Fabian, who is the one who ends up dead.
I also think the bodyguards and the manager are going to be rushing back to the white lotus and with Ricks bender, may even be there before him. There's got to be some kind of mistaken identity, allegiances, caught in the crossfires moments. It's not really a show that relies too much on twists in prior seasons, but so far, it's all been pretty neat and linear so I'd like, without going too far, some unexpected turns in the last episode.
they've been hammering that point home on the prestige pod. their theory being that feds get called because the greg/gary stuff but both tim and rick think separately that they are there for them and mayhem ensues
Mike White is a transphobe :( https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/comments/1joh7dd/creator_of_white_lotus_mike_white_appears_on/
I don’t really agree with this redditor’s interpretations of his comments. If you listen to the actual interview clips, it’s clumsy wording for sure, but I don’t think he’s actively saying anything transphobic. He’s asked to explain the origins of that scene, and basically says “well the whole season is exploring these themes of Buddhism and identity, and we’re born into these two genders, and it’s human nature to want to sort of explore that”. He doesn’t “confirm” that Rockwell is autogynephiliac. Now, the fact that he’s on this apparently racist/transphobic guy’s podcast at all is a different story. And the host DOES call Rockwell autogynephiliac and White does not correct him. But all the clips sound to me like Mike kind of fumbling over the question because he doesn’t expect the host to ask it in that way. And I think that can happen easily in press cycles, you don’t always know who you’re sitting down to do an interview with.
I'm just going to roll with your interpretation for now but him cutting the NB storyline is also a little sus!
His explanation for cutting the NB storyline (in a separate interview) was much more eloquent and basically that he didn’t want to include it as a throwaway line if they weren’t going to do justice to it. It was “too big a topic for too little of a joke”. Which is another reason I don’t think he’s being like, intentionally transphobic.
So excited for the next one! This season has been wild and I’m sure the finale will bring it to another level, but I still feel like the show’s first season is an all-timer. It hasn’t quite reached that peak since.
Aimee Lou Wood is a treasure and her reactions to that whole fantasy thing were so funny. Definitely something she’s carried over from Sex Education and she’s so good at it. The wide eyed stare, the smirks, “every little boy’s dream…” Can’t help but have a bad feeling for Gaitok and Mook in this coming finale.
