Do Okies have strong accents? Like Bill Hader is from Tulsa and he sounds like a normal guy.

 

I mean sure mostly just depends on where you are from or where your parents are from like most places. But it’s definitely not that kind of southern accent

 

I said this in another thread recently but my wife can’t say mirror without it sounding like “mare” somehow and she’s from a town of like 200 people

 

this is how people talk in Oklahoma

 

people criticizing parker’s accent have clearly never met someone from charleston, a place where there is a non-zero chance her character is from

isaac’s sounds like foghorn leghorn one second and australian the next

 

so he sounds like Josh?

 

josh doesn’t sound Australian

 

Am I the only one thinking greg’s girlfriend coming over to the bar was not actually a coincidence and they might be trying to scam her/get to Goggins somehow?
the trailer for the rest of the episodes makes it seem like probably not, but something just seemed off about that interaction to me

 

this is definitely how i viewed it

 

I don't know if they necessarily know who her partner is, but just know that a beautiful girl having a martini alone at the White Lotus bar is a mark

 

You know I didn’t even consider that but it makes sense

 

The main thing i noticed is that Chelsea , Laurie, and sigh Piper ,Parker Posey gave those kids terrible names, are the only ones who actually want to be spiritually connected at the Thai yoga resort

This episode is very funny so far.

it’s so strange how the show is like a more serious, sorta shakespearean riff on survivor. mike white, what a character

 

the whole them getting off a boat thing is a big survivor trope

 

Each night closing out with a big family dinner among the different groups feels like tribal council lol

 

it’s a total rip on survivor. actually crazy now the more i think of it.
