my latest theory seems too crazy portia eventually realizes the jig is up with jack and goes to find albie, who is getting beaten near to death by lucia’s pimp for not paying/getting dominic to pay, and portia saves him by killing the pimp with one of those giant ceramic mask things that are always around and albie becomes a “wounded broken bird” for portia
Thought this article was interesting. Gives a rundown of each character's chances of killing/getting killed.
After last night, I think it's there's a good chance Albie either is killed or does some of the killing - could totally see him misreading the "pimp" situation and doing something crazy trying to defend Lucia. (Quotations because I don't think he's actually her pimp?) Feel like it can't be Ethan, Cameron, or Harper - doesn't track with Daphne being delightfully oblivious in the opening. That said, thinking back to episode 1, the body was in the water and I believe it was hinted that the others were, too. That would point pretty strongly in the direction of anyone who took the boat - definitely feel like Portia has to be a contender.
a theory that the ringer pod floated was daphne catching cameron and harper hooking up and killing them both, which if you go back and rewatch the first scene from the premier, kinda tracks with stuff she says to the new couple on the beach
As juicy as that would be, it feels too over the top for this show to me. On a similar (tbh more ridiculous) note, reddit theory going around that Quentin's ulterior motives with Tanya involve Greg. That too would be a bit too made for TV, but I feel like we're due for some resolution to both storylines. Just likely separately.
I could definitely see Cam dying and Daphne not really giving a shit. Not saying she would murder him, but maybe there's an altercation between her and him or Ethan and him and he falls or something into ocean/hits head on rock. Given that Daphne 'makes herself happy' in other ways (i.e. affair with trainer - who is likely father of her child) maybe is why she was so nonchalant in the opening scene of Season 2 when Cam clearly wasn't with her.
Jack is definitely going to die, current hunch he and Lucia try to scam together and he takes too many pills
I like the Portia character but will agree that Tanya's character is too ridiculous this time around.
Podcast I'm listening to mentions that Quentin's story about falling in love with a straight cowboy from Wyoming is literally the plot of Brokeback Mountain. Haven't seen the movie, so I wouldn't have caught that ha.
Wait I assumed while watching that Lucia was just making up having a pimp as a way to manipulate/scam Albie
I hope in season 3 instead of Tonya they bring back one of the new characters from this season that end up surviving.
Seems obvious to me now, but I'm dumb and didn't put it together. I'm assuming Quentin and gang are doing some sort of grift on Tanya, but I have no idea what their plan is.
they show that guy again in the previews for next week. he is definitely someone she knows, im leaning more towards drug dealer/he's in on the act though
