Seems like a very explicit halfway point/transition ep, where a lot of the character traits we saw at the beginning are shifting. That’s probably why Ethan doesn’t say anything
Yeah I think Ethan clearly likes the lifestyle that Cam has but won’t admit it to himself or his wife so he’s quietly going along with the bro code or whatever.
I find it more odd that Harper didn't mention (or question) finding the condom right away, especially given her personality.
I agree again although you know she's been blind to how "perfect their relationship is" and how as a whole she thinks she's better than everyone in her way. This kinda shattered that thought. Also, on the flip side, she thinks her nice guy husband will do the right thing and admit it...and he isn't. Which is befuddled her
I also assume it has something to do with talking to cams wife about all their marital problems and back stabbings and etc and it’s getting in her head
There’s also the fact that he had already told her that nothing happened besides drinking the night before, so the stage was set for her to be suspicious finding it. I had no trouble understanding why she shut down and internalized everything, especially with her personality.
Great stuff so far. I loved S1 and this new season is scratching the same itch while also feeling pretty unique to itself so far. My favorite characters are definitely Lucia and Mia. Daphne is climbing up there too. Don’t like Portia at all, especially most recent episode.
where has Portia been that she's never heard of arancini drunk Harper was amazing Daphne and Lucia together would be so powerful
Yeah I'm getting into s2 is better camp....although I'm sure I'm just forgetting. This seasons character work is so rich.
I was both late to the party on s1 and an enormous Enlightened fan, so for me it came with expectations that it pretty much couldn't live up to. I'm so hooked this time around, enjoying this season more for sure.
Really hoping Cam and Harper don't hook up but last night confirms my suspicion that Cam and Daphne brought Ethan and Harper on vacation with the sole intent to ruin their marriage. Daphne clearly doesn't give a fuck what Cam does and has her own thing (and baby dady?) on the side and Ethan telling Cam that he's always wanted to sleep with who he's into makes me think that Cam/Daphne are jealous of their marriage and status/bored/want to mix things up and don't care who they hurt.
Great performances all around but I’m not super attached to any of these storylines. Disappointed in the Tanya storyline, not sure I understand bringing her back for something this weak
I’m fully into every storyline at this point except Tanya’s. I’m guessing she’s going to get fleeced for a bunch of money by these people somehow and it might be an interesting contrast to the last season where someone was trying to set up something legitimate to help people and got none of Tanya’s money for it.
Enjoyed the score this ep with the interpolations on the opening theme. The storyline I'm most invested in at this point is definitely the Harper/Ethan/Daphne/Cam one, but I'm curious to see where all of them go.
