Ok, how is it not obvious that this Selene woman is up to no good!?!?! They mysteriously find her in this other world. She won't shut up about the Horn and now she keeps asking to see it. Kill her, Rand! Do it NOOOOOOW!
Lol I said the same thing. Selene's awesome, that stuff was some of my favorite in the series. Little naive Rand
New favorite moment Semirhage breaking free and collaring Rand. Really thought Min was going to die there, I'm glad she made it out. Got to imagine it's a big mistake letting Casduane go, I almost wonder if that was the Dark One's plan all along in releasing Semirhage, turning Rand against Cadsuane.
Yeah I'm excited for scottlechowicz to get there. Speaking of, I just got to the part where Avienda is told she has to go back to Rhuidean!
Wait, is there another walk through an arch or are you referring to her first test as "Accepted?" Because I just got to that part! It was very "Luke sees Vader in the cave."
Yes! Book two has a lot of my favorite scenes, I love that book. One of his best climaxes too, so look forward to that.
the battle at the White Tower was epic as all hell. see you the fuck later Elaida! (or should I say Shuffa)...still expecting redemption for her though. Also Rand is about as cold as it gets.
So yeah, I adored The Gathering Storm. We're very lucky that Sanderson was chosen to finish it. His writing is more straightforward and the POV's don't really take the characters personalities into consideration, for example, every other 10 words in a Cadsuane chapter wasn't Phaw! He's got the characters down though (There wasn't much Mat so I haven't seen anything I disliked in those chapters yet) He even made me like a few characters I didn't before, hello Gawyn. So many epic payoffs all the way back to the Eye of the World, it's just so damn satisfying. I do, however, wish that Rand would have gone through with his attack on the Seanchan. I now don't think they are heading in this direction, but I would have loved it if Rand just continued to get colder and colder until he's almost as bad as the Dark One. Seems like the ending is definitely pointing towards him getting his shit back together
So at this point, 11 chapters into book 3, the only character I really love unabashedly is Perrin. Oh, and Loail! He is the best. The rest annoy me to varying degrees. With the most annoying being a tie between Mat and Nyaeve.
I just started book 10. I've read the first nine a few times... and always stop, this time I'm finishing it
