Why do these playing cards look like Aes Sedai?

 

Thinking about this show a lot these days. Gonna cry when it starts.

 

This show and the Dune movie from Dennis Villeneuve are my two most anticipated filmed projects coming up in the foreseeable future.

 

Never been so hyped for a TV show to start, never followed one as closely as this either (at least, to my knowledge I might have with LOST)

 

I was looking at casting assignments last night. Some BIG roles are still un-announced:

Siuan, Leanne, Elaida, Elayne, Morgas, Gawyn, Galad... the Forsaken...

One guy has been announced, but not who he's playing. To me, he's a lock for Gareth Bryne on look, so I'm not inserting him in the above list.

 

Yeah there really is quite a few that haven't been announced. Min, for example. I would imagine some big news coming shortly.

 

Just learned season one is only eight episodes.

 

Yeah, I'm sure they are covering both, if not most of EOTW and TGH

 

If you want to get into the series before it becomes the show, here's a giveaway for the entire run in trade paperback.

 

Weird to make a big deal of this since it’s like .5 chapters in the book. Looks like Elsa is renamed Dana, though.

Supposedly the voices are Egwene and Perrin, confirmed by Madeleine Madden and Rafe Judkins confirms its a scene not in the books.

 

Say hello to Thom's..... guitar.

 

It's a change that makes sense. Hope it's infused with Spanish flair when played.

 

Rafe explained that the actor playing Thom looks more natural with the guitar, which is a custom build, so I'm not looking to much into the change.

 

Apparently season 1 wrapped filming. Extremely excited for this.

 

There was a leak that the first episode/series? is coming between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
