I think the only director I'd trust right now to do a Musk or Trump biopic would be Paul Verhoeven. I'm not sure anyone else could properly portray the combination of evil and absurd these people are. Then again, Musk probably likes movies like Robocop and Starship Troopers for all the wrong reasons, so he would probably think being the subject of a Verhoeven satire would be an honor.

 

Has to be Elle Fanning or Rooney Mara

Killers of the Flower Moon, although that role definitely received a mixed response.

 

I don’t recall him ever being rumored for KOTFM

 

He's the lawyer near the end of the movie that makes a big scene.

The best thing about The Whale is all the memes using the part at the end where he finally stands up and looks to the heavens.
