I've never met him. When he makes a really good movie like The Wrestler I give him credit.

 

The only way to be sure is to see it for yourself!

 

Yeah I mean I know more than a few people IRL that loved it having no prior thoughts on Aronofsky. I tend to like his stuff, but I think writing and fat suit aside, he was not the right director for this material.

 

Is this still only in theaters?

 

Mixed feeling about this. I know it's intending to be empathetic, but it also feels cruel at times. There were also a couple awkward attempts at levity that felt weird. The Ellie character didn't really work for me. Aronofsky is as heavy-handed as ever, but he remains an interesting director imo. Sympathy for Fraser aside, I think he does some genuinely great work here as well.

Do we need another biopic of this man? Blood Diamond wasn’t enough?

 

I assume someone like Aronofsky would be a Musk fan.

 

Even if it does… the media circus surrounding it is going to be nauseating.

 

I hope that this is just a straight biopic but the twist is that he has a dildo in his ass the whole time like Frank in Frank vs Russia
