How can you even judge it the trailer is like 90% quotes from reviews

 

He looks like the Justin Long walrus from the Kevin Smith movie.

I didn't make the ad. It is their job to sell the film. When a film is coming out in a month and you have a 1 minute trailer that hides the actual movie, it is a little suspicious.

 

Trailer is trying too hard, it inadvertently makes it comical

 

It looks fine lol some of y'all are too much

 

Prefer an understated trailer than one that gives away everything. I’ll be watching this. I expect it to be self-indulgent and overlong, but I’m sure there will be a few scenes that move me.

Bummer. I thought the film had a chance of being empathetic if it wasn’t problematic.

 

Shooting in Academy ratio to intentionally make Fraser take up the whole frame tells us a lot.

I actually don’t think there was anything wrong with what he actually said (from reading the article), just defending that it’s an exercise in empathy. Maybe he shouldn’t have responded to the criticism at all though?

 

This is anecdotal, of course, but based on the feedback I've seen... most would agree with Darren's sentiment.

 

Next week is going to be a movie catch up week for me before the holidays. Debating if i want to check this out or spend my time elsewhere (like seeing avatar a second time)

That grotesque suit Fraser is wearing is going to be used in a lot of meme templates.

 

This being Brendan Fraser’s big redemption awards vehicle really bums me out. Just seems really unpleasant to me (and not in a compelling away). *sigh*
