Why does everyone sleep on/dislike Esco Terrestrial? Imo it's a fairly solid, fun tape.

its pretty clearly a ton of throwaways, only a small amount of songs live up to future's best

The collabs on it are all good but I never got into the Future solo tracks.

Benjamin's Burn and Married to the Game are both essential Future tracks

True enough. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I only played it for like three days when it initially came out. Also I like Drake on there more than I like him on Views.

Benjamin's is the only one that caught on with me.

So, to recap for someone who wants to get more into Future (myself), the essential must-listen projects are:

    Albums:
    Pluto
    Honest
    DS2

    Mixtapes:
    Monster
    Beast Mode
    56 Nights
    Purple Reign

    More or less??

I don't think they're clearly throwaways. Might not be his best, but I think most of it's at least as on par with most of the rest of his stuff... and Esco's production is enjoyable, imo.

Disagree. I think the fact it came and went without much fanfare along with the scattershot compilation feel of it makes it clear it's just a clearing of house before his next project

Fair enough. I think the compilation feel took away from it. I removed all the non-Future songs from my playlist and I think it's much more cohesive and works better as a whole that way. Nonetheless, I still think there are some quality songs on the tape, but just my opinion.

edit: Curious, how do you feel about the new EP with Gucci?

Would you guys say chronological order is the best way to listen to all of these? I've only heard DS2 and EVOL in full before, but I like everything I've heard from the other projects.

Actually I think a friend and I listened to Purple Reign when it came out but I was too stoned to remember much of it lol

Actually I don't even think I got around to listening to EVOL in full... so yeah, almost all of these will be mostly new for me.

@sophos34 would probably know better than me. I need to dive further into his older stuff. I've listened to it all, but EVOL is what got me interested, then I went back to DS2 and got hooked. Then 56 Night and PR solidified me as a Future fan.

Pluto and then chronological is pretty much the only order that makes any sense.

Awesome. Will post my thoughts in the Future thread once I've gotten into it... I'm in finals week so won't have a ton of time now but I'm excited to dive in.
