Crazy that before Starboy I was having a hard time deciding whether ILIWYSFYASBYSUOI, Coloring Book, or Blonde was my AOTY, but now it's no question that it belongs to Abel for me

 

A Lonely Night fucking slaps harder than anything released in 2016

 

Blonde is still my AOTY, but this is a very close second.

 

The more I listen to it, the more I like it. So happy for him, he deserves this kind of success.

 

Finally got a chance to listen and it's obviously great. Reminder might be my favorite other than the title track. Had the hugest smile on my face for the second half of the kendrick verse. Overall will probably more frequently listen to each half of this separately, I do think it feels long. But there really are no songs on here that are less than good so I'd hate if it became a standouts album for me.

 

Right now I'm really enjoying breaking this in half when I listen to it. I'll go from Starboy to Sidewalks and then take a break or listen to another album. Then I will start again at Six Feet Under and finish the rest of the album. It helps me enjoy the second half more. I still like it straight through, this just sweetens the tracks on the second half a little more for me.

 

This album is absolutely incredible. By far his best release

 

Straight fire. False Alarm is the only track I'm still not feeling, but this is much much better than his past couple releases no doubt.

 

That's future on backing vocals for six feet under right?

 

This is great but that "lo mein" line kinda ruins Reminder for me sheesh

False Alarm is also my least favorite of them all, but it's grown on me a lot since the song first came out. Might be because of the video, might be because of Survivor Series

 

I don't think I have a least favourite. I can genuinely say I love every song, I was in no way expecting this album to be this consistent. One of my favourite things is the lower register Abel sings in during the verses of "Secrets" and the bridge of "Rockin'", it sounds so cool. I hope he sings like that more often on future releases.

 

I've listened to I Feel It Coming about 10 times each day this weekend, can't get enough of it.

Other than that one, Rockin' is probably my favorite. That beat.

 

yeah false alarm is whatever but its better in context than as a single

 

I definitely have more of an issue with the "Hannibal silence of the Lambo" line than the Lo Mein line

 

Abel has always been p sus in the lyricism department tbqh

 

Questionable lyrics aside, Reminder is so fucking good
