First single (rumored to be produced by Daft Punk and Doc McKinney) coming soon.
Cover shot by Nabil
Will he ever return to half the quality of HoB???
Really cool cover, I'm definitely interested in what's next
I wasn't expecting something so soon, this is cool
bbtm was a decent step in the right direction tbh
Hated BBTM but as a former Stan I'm looking forward to this.
RIP to the hair
yeah, I agree, but it's to be seen if he can continue on that path or stagnate or worse, just crash
Beauty was certainly better than the one before it, and honestly I don't really need him to "go back" to his early sound if he can hone in on his current sound and make that the best he can.
There was some decent stuff on the last record, not giving up on him yet.
I'm hyped... I think.
I still think he's incredibly talented. Even if BBTM had some forgettable tracks, I thought it was a solid pop album and showed his versatility. Rumor is Doc McKinney (the main producer of HoB and Thursday) was the main producer of the upcoming album, and a song with Daft Punk involved definitely has me intrigued.
Also Cashmere Cat's "Wild Love" with him and Francis and the Lights was dope if you all haven't heard that one.
I still very much adore BBTM, it's not HoB but it's great in its own right. I'll look out for this new one.
HOB is miles better imo. Couldn't even name a song off Echoes
Echoes of Silence is my favourite release of his. It has all his best songs like "Montreal", "Initiation", "Next", etc
My ranking would be:
Echoes of Silence > House of Balloons > Beauty Behind the Madness > Kiss Land > Thursday
High For This, Glass Table Girls, The Morning, Loft Music tho
EoS and HoB are his best, that's for sure
Honestly love Thursday, it gets way too much flack. "The Birds Pt. 1" is one of his best songs, hands down. "The Zone" is excellent and "Rolling Stone" is stunning
I love the Dirty Diana cover
In my opinion Echoes and HOB are pretty neck and neck, that DD cover is crazy.
