There's an excellent 12 or 13 track album buried in here.

We reach for the longest shadow

Wash, rinse, repeat for most decent mainstream albums released in the last 3-5 years.

I think the middle back slogs a little but honestly after first listen, there are only 3-4 tracks I would consider cutting

I just really don't have the uniterrupted time to listen to this in full often, especially since it's crafted to all be listened together as a cohesive record

It's not that there are any songs I'd call outright bad, just too many mid paced woe is me "I" statement songs that seem to serve more or less the same purpose

Got through to Timeless so far, which I still don't think Carti adds anything to

Otherwise I'm enjoying it! Baptized in Fear - Open Hearts back to back is so good

See for me this album doesn’t even get going until “Baptized In Fear”.

Yea it might be long but all of this is really really good. I'm glad I like pretty much all of the non-singles more than the singles, I was feeling slightly underwhelmed by them on each release. Transitions between songs are so good.

  12. Would have to imagine a big deluxe physical release is in the pipeline

there's no way they don't give this another physical release. part of me could imagine the few bonus tracks being tacked on on streaming services in a couple weeks and that ultimately getting physicals

  14. Yeah I’m holding off on getting the vinyl until that happens or not

This is starting to drag for me and I'm only on track 12. I think "Open Hearts" is the only one I've really liked so far.

There's definitely a lull in energy in the mid point but it makes sense in the narrative of the album, and the ending definitely picks it up

The Future feature is so bad when he’s singing lmao. Sounds better when he raps but damn those vocals are terrible

This is good but can’t help but feel like he’s hit diminishing returns for me. Need to revisit and give it a bit more attention but not much jumped out at me on first go round.

Yeah this one didn't really do much for me. It seems like a big step down from his last two and it's way too long.

I think I liked "Dancing in the Flames" more than anything on the album. "Open Hearts" and "The Abyss" were the two that stood out to me as being really good.

I thought Dancing in the Flames was kinda mid so that's wild to me haha, but I do actually need to go back to After Hours and Dawn FM, especially Dawn FM. I think I only listened through it twice on release and no times after that.

Definitely give Dawn FM another listen(preferably in the dark, and at night lol)

Still haven’t been able to make it through all of this. There are some songs I like, but I invariably check out before I reach the end.

It did make me revisit Dawn FM, and I still adore that record. A total vibe.

I feel like the production on this album is his best yet, it sounds so damn good

Yeah, it’s insanely good. Mike Dean synths on this thing are nuts.
