I could do without the Wayne verse. I like Tyler's because he works best as a feature artist IMO. Can't deal with his voice on too many songs in a row.
Not at all - I like country Never really understood why so many hip-hop fans get offended when people don't like their preferred style of music. I love folk and post-hardcore music but it doesn't bother me when others have no interest.
Also, don’t be so close minded, there’s all kind of rappers and groups out there with different styles and perhaps you just never found anything you clicked with yet. Expand your horizons a little bit and you can find all kinds of things.
Yeah, like of course it’s fair if certain artists/styles don’t resonate with someone. But rap is such a diverse genre and has been for a long time, I really feel like people who say they don’t like any rap haven’t checked out very much or explored beyond whatever popular songs they don’t care for.
I'm more than willing to give things a try - and you're right there are almost certainly albums and artists out there that I could potentially click with. Over the years I tried to get on with some of the 'flagship' releases (To Pimp a Butterfly, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Run the Jewels etc) and they've not really done anything for me - I think it's the braggadocio associated with the genre that puts me off. I'm not really interested in how much money you have, or how many women you've slept with.
The Wayne verse is so bad, which is especially a shame when he really brought it on the Tyler album just 7 months ago.
