Really liking this. I love this trend in album artwork as well. Titanic Rising, Punisher, folklore, Saint Cloud, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, Quiet Signs, all great iconic shots of the artist on clean covers.
Enjoyed it on first listen but nothing stood out. Will dive back in soon. Love how she's put out albums in so many different styles. I adore Loyalty.
I'm sure the Julien Baker record out at the end of the month will elicit a similar response from me, but this and Sun June are the first records this year where my reactions were "wow, this was very good", like they are on another level compared to everything else I have listened to so far.
Love this record, picked it up for Bandcamp Friday. Stereogum has a great track-by-track if anyone wants to dive in deeper: The Story Behind Every Song On The Weather Station's New Album 'Ignorance'
I didn’t think I was into this for a while, but by the end I started to notice some really beautiful and interesting moments. This is one I’ll have to come back to again.
Yeah listened to this pretty much all weekend. So many great things to pick out. Need to give it a headphones listen soon
I just did that, woooow. I loved the album just listening through my laptop speakers but listening with my AirPods was a whole new experience.
Very, very excited for it. Sounds like she’s put a lot of work into it to make something really special. I’ll be watching Katy Kirby’s livestream on YouTube beforehand—a nice double-feature of two of my favorite albums so far this year.
