I was lucky enough to see The Weakerthans twice in Regina back in the day, once with Constantines opening and once with Sylvie opening. Shameless plug for both of those awesome fallen bands shall ensue.

Finally got a copy of Reconstruction Site on vinyl. Didnt realize this pressing was going to be so crackly and noisy. So sad

 

Mines the same way, it’s an epitaph record which often have this critisism I guess

 

Yeah but when I felt how heavy it was I got my hopes up that it'd be different.

 

I haven’t played mine in a while but I remember it being okay.

I've always been a casual fan of this band, but I ran through their discography today and damn

Why is this band not so, so much bigger? These guys are literally phenomenal

I remember when The Weakerthans had a song on the closing credits of Wedding Crashers, and my friend group collectively lost their minds. That's about the biggest they ever got.

 

John K's voice I'd imagine was probably why. But yeah, top 20 band of all time if you ask me.

Top 10 at least, top 3 if I’m listening to them

 

Top 3 easily for me (along with the Wonder Years and Mineral), and the Weakerthans are usually number one.

 

Watching Live At the Burton Cummings Theater and really hoping I get to see this band someday.

 

We can all hope for such a thing
