I will say, Fallow doesn't do a ton for me, and Reunion Tour is not devoid of misses, but Left and Leaving and Reconstruction Site are essentially flawless albums through and through.
gotta come back to Fallow p soon now that I'm into the two subsequent (still don't have a hold of RT)
There's like 65 new albums out that I should be listening to but I keep playing Left and Leaving over and over again
Might do Left and Leaving for the first installation of the album club I'm running since I've played it multiple times a day for about 3 weeks now. Why is the most popular video for the titular songs full of wolves?
The lines in "My Favorite Chords" about the construction site always draw me back to "Ode to the Nite Ratz" by the Hotelier. I know Samson was an influence on Christian, I wonder if it's intentional
i think so just because up til It Never Goes Out they littered their songs with references to bands they love. Would kind of fit in with that running theme
Yeah I'm really not feeling Reconstruction Site as much as Left and Leaving. The titular song and Virtute are great, though.
It was good, maybe it'll grow on me. Nowhere even close to how much Left and Leaving has affected me, and that took about 10 years to click. I actually am enjoying RT more than RS as well.
Left and Leaving is the best but this whole band is hard to listen to a lot for me, as magnificent as they are.
Also I’ve never really understood this, however you definitely arnt the only one that has said it. The first 10 seconds sound extremely reminiscent, but after that I just don’t hear it
i just found that out today, went on a wikipedia rabbit hole while listening to fallow in whole for like the second time ever lol. not feeling it much but only because it's in comparison to the rest of their stuff also it's wild how they played all four albums in whole at one show in 2010 that sounds like the best show in history
