Reunion Tour is solid but doesn't feel as fleshed out as Reconstruction Site. Although as mentioned Civil Twilight, Virtute the Cat Explains Her Departure and Night Windows are some of their better songs

In fact the last few minutes of Virtute the Cat Explains Her Departure are probably their finest few minutes

 

Devastating song. now that I think of it, the only track I don't think is good is the spoken word one, really interrupts the flow for me. Relative Surplus Value is another I don't love, and it was an ex's favorite so I don't really vibe with it lol

 

Best album, there are dozens of us!

 

Fallow.

 

The song Fallow being one of their top 5. For a band with a knack for writing last lines, the last line of that track is so heavy.

saw the new tour setlist and i have complaints but it's impossible for me not to
think the first tour on the new record was definitely the best but even then there are songs missing that are being played now and UGH 15 year reconstruction site next year???

 

L&L is the more important anniversary and is the best album of all time forever at least right now in this current moment for me

 

yeah but L&L isn't a nice round number next year!!!

this is one of the few acts that could convince me to do the philly on a weekday drive, hah.

 

last night was truly incredible. we got virtute at rest instead of pamphleteer which i wasn't expected and that fucked me up big time

shouts to the guy who when john introduced jason tait yelled "NOT THE ONE I KNOW!". hope you're here reading this thread and i can call you out with your friend who looked and acted like he was at a korn show the whole time! hope you guys enjoyed your beers

If we're being honest Virtute is actually a bad pet. Wants to cater a party for her depressed owner but hes so deep into his sadness that she just abandons him. So rude

JKS is so good at being unlistenably phenomenal. I still can't stomach an involved listen through of Reconstruction Site

 

Finally got around to listening to Winter Wheat this weekend and I quite liked it, Requests is just a beautiful track

 

Winter Wheat is just as good as Weakerthans stuff
