Seriously every time the chorus kicks in "buy me a shiny new machine" I immediately think "WHERE SHE WAWNTS TO BE THE QUEEN" hahaha. Even the verse groove and the rhythm of the lyrics is similar. But it's like, 1000000000000x better lyrics and better sounding guitars

 

Just wanted to chime in and say that yes, Reconstruction Site is damn near perfect...

 

i never noticed the reconstruction site->train comparison. but now I'll never unhear possible transitions to Meet Virginia.

i've never heard of this compilation before and it has a sick recording of Fred Mascherino doing Lullaby and Matt Pryor doing Girl Why'd You Run Away

I will suffer from the worst case of dry eyes anyone has ever seen.

 

The only thing wrong with RS is that it refuses to show up anywhere on my phone no matter how many times I add it.

 

That the sequel song is better than the original. Haven't heard that before is all. I don't really have a favorite between the two.

And weird feels in that it doesn't even make me sad in the way that sad music makes me sad, it makes upset or sad in a way I'm not comfortable with, so I don't put it on a lot even though it's brilliant.

 

Also RT is underrated but there are a few not-so-great tracks among the insta-classics. Civil Twilight is top 5 Wkrthns

 

RT is probably their most uneven but the bookends are among their best, utilities especially

 

Reunion Tour has been my favorite for a long time, but lately Reconstruction Site has been gaining on it. Both are really spectacular albums though.
