I know it can be a sore point around this site, so my intention isn't to derail, but if anyone has a hankering for that Weakerthans sound, the new Pinegrove album 11:11 is the closest thing I've heard in ages. Really gorgeous music that instantly reminded me of John K Samson and Co

I stumbled on a copy of this at my local record store a few years ago and the staff there said it was a new repress.

had previously been eyeing grossly overpriced copies on eBay and Discogs so was thrilled.

Smart of them to head off speculation about music/touring right in the tweet if it's not happening, but I still really hope it happens someday. The new shirts are really cool though.

I know they always go out of their way to say The Weakerthans aren't recording/touring, but I really hope we get a new album/tour from John soon. I'd love to see the John K. Samson and the Winter Wheat lineup (which is all but one member of the Weakerthans).

Love Reunion Tour - definitely a jockeying #1 favorite for me. Every song is a hit.

 

This is great. I also didn't know about that Hold Music album from earlier this year. Mostly instrumental stuff, but the last song could easily be on any of John's solo albums.

 

Would really like a John K Samson rock album though

 

Happy 20th anniversary to Reconstruction Site, the best album of all time.
