I’m still not finding this album reaching the same highs as previous releases.

No way am I done with it, but I think it falls behind LITD and ADU at present

 

Didn't expect this on first few listens, but this might end up being my favorite TWOD album. There's not an individual song or moment that quite matches my all-time favorites (Under the Pressure, Strangest Thing) but this feels so flawless as an album. Even stacking the shorter songs on the back end, it flows perfectly.

And I’m fully confident over time individual songs will begin to reveal themselves as something transcendent of the whole

 

I think Victim is really doing that for me. That last minute is immaculate.

 

that and the title track are stuck in my head every damn day

 

Bingo. Those two and "Harmonia's Dream" are contenders for my favorite songs of the year in general, and others are just getting better each time.

I can’t remember the last time I fell so hard for a band. This album fucking rules. This band rules. I basically listened to this on repeat all day the past two days. Dealing with constant crappy Thanksgiving customers with this in my ear made everything a little chiller. Cannot wait to see them in February. Where should I go after this record?

I’d just go in reverse order if I were you.

 

This was definitely the most I’ve spent on a show maybe ever. Worth it. Can’t wait. Gotta get some edibles

Slave Ambient is too overlooked

 

got hit with a youtube ad for their livestream last week, never listened to one second of this band before but loved the song in the background. checked out their tiny desk and was absolutely hooked. I can’t believe how much I love this record having never listened to this band before. I think this will be my favourite album of the year by a wide margin. so excited to work backwards through their discography but I’m not ready to move on from this one yet.

 

They were incredible last night
