Last night I smoked a bowl, put this on and played splatoon all night. Pretty great. Might do the same tonight.
Yeah this record is brand new but it might already be my 2nd favorite "driving while high" album after Repave.
Been waiting for a live version of this one, didn't think we'd see it so soon. Anyone got tickets for the tour? Catching them in Portland on my birthday.
Didn't expect that at all, to be honest. Lost in the Dream was top five for me in 2014, but it didn't stick in constant rotation for long, and fell down the list on my next year's re-rank. I figured I'd like this album, but didn't expect to be as blown away by it as I was.
this album gets better with every listen. strangest thing is seriously one of the best songs i've heard in my life. the attention to detail on this thing is impeccable.
Idk if anyone mentioned it but this album sort of reminds me of Tame Impala's Currents in terms of how expansive and meticulously crafted it is
I've long thought abt this band as a parallel to Tame Impala for some reason. Probably with the way they both play and expand on a sound that's sort of "passed". The chorus of Clean Living gives me life.
Never heard of these guys, but they got a mention on NPR's show Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. I thought that was cool. They sponsored the episode or whatever.
this band and tame impala are like the two different sides of psychedelic music in 2017. pond is in the middle
Didn't find Tame Impala's Currents album to be all that interesting a few years back-- actually prefer their other records. For some strange reason, I actually thought of the National when this first came out. But in retrospect its so uniquely itself. Cant really be compared
