I was gonna say that Jakob was looking old and then I Googled and realized he was old.

 

My first favorite band. Can't wait for this.

One Headlight is definitely up there though

 

Good list, although I prefer the debut to Glad All Over by a good bit.

 

Oh, not me. I like some of the songs on the debut, but it just sounds so thin and lifeless to me. There are a few duds on Glad, but the production is so lush and full. I love how Jay Joyce makes them sound on songs like "Love Is a Country" and "Constellation Blues."

 

Either this or Closing Time.

 

in no real order, these 5 definitely come to mind first when i think of 90s rock/alternative songs that were constantly on VH1's top 10 countdown, which I used to record on VHS every morning before school so when I came home, I could watch it, haha.

Iris for suuuuure. That song was absolutely everywhere.

 

I went back to Glad All Over yesterday, it's better than I remembered, but still not great. It reminds me a bit of his solo albums (which I don't love) more than the Wallflowers, or maybe it's because the band is different, I'm not sure, I just think it pales in comparison to the other albums. I like the songwriting better on the debut, although some of the songs are way too long. Either way, I'm glad they are back and there is new music on the way.

 

Absolutely (Story of A Girl) was absolutely (pun intended) massive.

 

Technically a 2000s song but it's possibly the most 90s song of the 2000s!

it was released April 2000, so basically 90s still, haha.
