god what was that 80s music at the end there? Didn't seem to fit with what was happening at all. Negan's little quips as he was retreating were golden. THAT'S A GODDAMN TIGER I hated how it looked like an even/fair fight right after Carl turned the tables, but then a few seconds later - the Saviors and trash people have everyone in Alexandria at gunpoint. That fucking silenced automatic rifle that Daryl had was awesome haha. I thought Negan was going to pissed at Simon for him dropping the ball on Maggie and Daryl. Dwight was kind of useless. King Ezekiel saying Alexandria will not fall today made me chuckle. Maggie ducking around the car at the end and popping out to point a gun at Daryl and others...they were literally right behind her before she crouched down to circle the car and sneak up haha. i don't know, that felt really forced and it wasn't needed.
And how the hell did Walker Sasha manage to walk out of that giant fight into the woods? She would have been killed by someone and/or would have kept trying to eat people....walkers don't just peace out like that lol.
In the premiere when Negan was gonna make Rick cut off Carl's arm my stomach was in knots. There was none of that when Negan had the two of them on their knees cause I just knew nothing would happen (I have no comic knowledge after Negan's intro.) There's always minor issues but that was my one major one tonight.
Really cool episode, and I actually liked the music. Thought the Eugene on the truck bed bit was great too, from the nod to blow it to negan pointing out Rick would've killed him.
When people are shooting at them they don't really concern themselves with solo walkers at this point. There were a bunch of trash people running off into the woods, she was probably following them but a walker can't keep up with live people running. Once the got away from her she ended up in wandering zombie mode. (That's my best guess )
dragging this on. And this seasons main goal seemed to be trying to make Rick look like an imbecile. But I must say, Carl was pretty badass. Once he saw Sasha dead he was like "nah, f*ck this imma start shooting"
I liked aspects about the finale, but jesus this show cannot make a chaos fight scene seem at all plausible. It's distracting.
Eh, I thought the finale was OK, and my expectations were pretty much at rock bottom too. The trash people turning on Rick's group was somewhat interesting, but then again, I was thinking the whole season that Rick and their people were being super open about turning on The Saviors, so it didn't completely shock me that someone said something to them. I honestly thought the tiger attacking just the Saviors at the perfect moment was kind of a lame cop-out and we once again got another fake-out death for what the 5th time in the last two seasons? Overall, Season 7 has been by far the worst season of the series.
Also, does anyone know they they started filming Season 8? Negan was on The Talking Dead with a full beard, and I assume they are already in the middle of filming Season 8 as it's premiere is only six months away. Thought the full beard look was interesting and perhaps a clue that he's already in the Alexandria prison?
This infuriated me. Carl has gotten so, so much better as Chandler Riggs has gotten older. He used to be, other than Laurie, just the worst, but now he's one of my better-liked characters on the show, honestly.
Going to miss Sonequa Martin-Green, but they gave her a good death. Besides, she's on her way to the final frontier so it's not like we haven't seen this coming since December.
Had we not got that dialogue between Zeke and Carol in the first half of the season, his character would be too much.
Easily the best episode of the season. Sasha/The Tiger as Deus ex machina was so badass. Morgan in armor was pretty sweet. He's my fav character mostly cause his Donatello stick Overall, prolly not the greatest season tho. TBH, I wish they woulda left Beth alive.
