A Savior tries to rape Holly in the comics and Negan catches him doing so and kills him and explains that he has a very strict rule on no rape. In the show it will be Sasha instead of Holly.
Oh yea, I heard something about that. In the comics, Holly is confused for Andrea. Do you think they'll be dumb enough to have Negan confuse Sasha for Michonne?
I doubt it. Sasha and Michonne were both in the Lucille line up so Negan was able to get a clear vision of both of them, opposed to Andrea and Holly in the comic so the mix up made sense. I imagine he'll just keep her prisoner because she broke into the Sanctuary and knows she could be a bargaining chip.
In my defence I got Fargo but I'm very happy with the slow burning Walking Dead, maybe not as pumped as I was during the prison/terminus seasons (my fave era) but not whinging too much. I think also perhaps people maybe just remember the powerhouse episodes of seasons past due to the impact of those and slow eps fade from the memory a bit? I don't know.
Nah, more like the majority of us are tired of the show and their drama being rehashed every single season. We get it, humanity is lost, morality is out the window, blah blah blah. The show has resorted into a "bad guy of the week" format but instead of a weekly conflict, there is a season (or two) long conflict.
I didn't start Breaking Bad until the final season was about to air. It's worth it, but nowhere near as good as The Sopranos or The Wire. The Sopranos is still the pinnacle of TV, nothing touches the complexity of that world and it's characters.
Shows that I'm a big fan of: The Sopranos Game Of Thrones The Office Parks And Rec Arrested Development The first 5 seasons of Nip/Tuck The first season of American Horror Story The Wire Breaking Bad Orange Is The New Black It's Always Sunny in Philly Bob's Burgers Boardwalk Empire Shameless Sons Of Anarchy That 70's Show New Girl (don't judge me, my ex's fault) New Shows I'm into: Westworld Daredevil Stranger Things Peaky Blinders Can we do reality shows? Hoarders and Flavor of Love are my honorable mentions.
Also, SoA much like TWD had it's highs and lows for me. But the season 3 finale is one of my favorite finale's of all time, and apart from the last 2 seasons, unlike TWD they actually made you care when somebody dies.
For context, someone mentioned Sons of Anarchy. It also went from Tier 1 to Tier 4, but I'd say it stayed in Tier 1 for much longer than TWD did. If it makes you feel any better, Dexter and Glee went from Tier 1 to Tier 5. There is no Tier 5. I stopped watching them before they even ended. And don't hate on CW shows. They can actually be quite good.
I don't think The Walking Dead has declined in quality at all but i also don't ever think it was very good. It's always been a show filled with promise but mostly boring episodes with pad pacing and questionable plot/character decisions. Glee and Dexter were both so good in their first seasons and ended up falling so far. Sad.
Maybe it's because at the time I hadn't seen as many shows, but I thought the first season of TWD was near-perfect. Then they stayed at the farm for too long, and that pacing defined the rest of the show. At least SoA had a good 4-5 seasons before starting its decline.
Never saw Glee but yeah, Dexter did drop quite a bit the longer it went on. I actually would place Flash season 1 and Arrow Season 1&2 up there with my all time favorites, but both seemed to have jumped the shark a long time ago
Ugh, don't get me started on Dexter. Seasons 1, 2 and 4 are like three of my all-time favorite seasons from a TV show. Even season 7 was pretty good (THAT should have been the final season). Seasons 5, 6, and especially 8 were laughably bad.
Season 7 would have been so much better if Ray Stevenson didn't have to cut his time short. They originally were going to have him the whole season.
I liked the religious one with Mos Def too for the most part even though he died waayyy too early. I also dug Colin Hanks as the villain but Deb finding out and everything that followed was weird
They really aren't comparable. There's also quite a bit of difference between slow burn storytelling and bad writing that gets nowhere.
