It's gotta be Abraham. They've set up his character to take the place of the comic death (and certain ties to other characters). (i.e., Abraham is to Glenn as Sasha is to Maggie in that moment) Seeing as the Denise death saved him. Plus it would still protect the show's precious, innermost character circle.
When he started talking to Sasha about Glenn and Maggie having a baby..I pretty much figured it would be him.
An outstanding half season that got diminished by a cheap cliffhanger. They ruined one of the most horrifying and impactful moments in the comics. What a disappointment.
Great season and great episode but with absolutely no pay off. Really disappointing. But honestly how can some of you say you aren't going to tune in next season? Of course you are. That's pretty crazy how even the actors don't know yet. They will probably decide after negotiating their new contracts. Whoever wants too much gets the axe... or the bat.
That episode was so overwhelming I was dying. When they realized that the others were captured I couldn't handle it! If they'd shown it I prob would've been in emotional turmoil for days lol. But I still wish they would've went there in this ep. I'm still going to watch when it comes back, but I'm not like chomping at the bit to know who it was either. I just kinda rolled my eyes, and hopefully it won't get spoiled super early, but it seems like spoilers leak often so idk. I just know all the buildup I was feeling is gone and I doubt it'll be completely recreated when the next season starts.
There's just no way this doesn't get spoiled though. Who ever it is is going to have to be dressed in character on set all season just so we don't find out. Pretty stupid. They really ruined what would have been one of the biggest moments in television history by not showing it.
I don't know how anybody could claim to deduce who got the bat. They were flashing between people that weren't even next to each other in the line. No way to guess who it was based on how they shot it.
Some links 'The Walking Dead' producers comment on shocking season finale cliffhanger ‘The Walking Dead’ Finale: Negan Makes His Mark in Bloody Debut (SPOILERS)
I'm not as bothered by the cliffhanger, partially because JDM is so damn charismatic. I loved/hated him as Negan. I swear, if The Walking Dead was cut down to a half hour instead of a dragging full hour, it'd be a great show.
I really want them to kill a beloved character. I feel like we haven't had that since Hershel. Did people care about Beth? I never cared much for her character. It's like they keep half-assing the deaths/who dies.
Carol has been shot like 10 times and I'm sure she'll be just fine. That's annoying. I'm just annoyed with Carol, period.
Aaron, the guy who initially scouted out the group? Truly a waste if that's who they go with. He barely appeared this season. Almost forgot he even lived in Alexandria.
A lot of people I know who watch the show loved Beth, she was like their favorite even though she was basically useless for ever. And you're right no one interesting has died since Hershel.
That's the feeling I got from reading things online. Half the audience liked Beth. The other couldn't care less. But her death was still executed pretty poorly and didn't make much sense, but when you gotta kill a character, you gotta kill a character. Aaron and guy with dreads, whose name I can't even remember. I swear there was like a 6 episode gap between his appearances.
I think Abraham or Eugene is the lowest they can go to still have it be big and meaningful. Rick and Carl are safe based on the dialogue. I'd bet all the girls are safe because it somehow feels wrong that he would kill a woman like that. Aaron should be safe because no one would care that much. So pretty much Daryl, Glenn, Abe, or Eugene.
I legitimately refer to that guy as Dr. Dre because he's from Straight Outta Compton, I completely forget his real name. Heath I think maybe?
They could still end up having two character deaths versus just one. I feel like it would make the cliffhanger somewhat redeemable. Who am I kidding.
