I could understand Morgan's rage, but having Richard to be able to unleash on the Saviors when it's most crucial would have been a nice wild card. I gues Morgan is sharpening his stick and making it into a spear now.
I used to say every episode that I was done but this time I actually followed through. I haven't seen an episode since the premiere. Read a little of the thread to see what I have missed and eek. Not disappointed in the decision.
This was the best directed and acted episode in awhile. I know I'm in the minority that doesn't mind them taking their time (aka dragging story out) setting everything up, especially if we get episodes like this. There isn't a single scene I would lose. I also thought it was fairly obvious that Richard and Morgan planned for his death, seeing since he wanted be the one who died and Morgan repeated his lines after killing him but after watching TWD Collider recap and seeing other stuff online, everyone seems to lean more towards Morgan just snapping. Either way, sad to see Richard go.
I don't think that was planned at all. That's why I was surprised to see Morgan pull a Carol and not follow through and with training and 'leading the army' in Richard's stead. Everything he said and did told me he was ready for revenge and to start killing.
Why did he stay behind though? That's the only thing that left me scratching my head. You think he just wants to do his own thing?
I guess time will tell, but I took it as Richard finally breaking through to Morgan that he had to kill again and that Richard wanted to be the one to die for the cause of getting back on the Saviors side so they could blindside them. Isn't that why Morgan stayed behind to bury Richard with his family? If it wasn't planned, everything worked out way too conveniently lol
This was one of the better episodes I can remember, at least over the past couple of seasons. I really like the change in Morgan, hopefully not going all the way back to "Clear," but we can use a little of his crazy. The sharpening of the staff was a nice touch, and I'm glad they didn't show what he was doing. I looked at it as he uses this blunt weapon because it can incapacitate people, and kill if need be, but now it's an instrument of death.
I never understood that concept. Now if she dies, everyone thinks, "good, I couldn't stand her." Why not make her likable and tolerable, then kill her so the audience is actually sad?
haha I dunno, but I agree with you. I feel like ever since Shane there has to be always one person like that in the group stirring trouble up. You know, like the group doesn't have enough to deal with lol.
I don't foresee myself ever being ok with Denise dying. The way she died too was brutal. I loved her storyline. I was prepared for Glenn but not her.
Compared to other characters (Noah, Glenn, Dale) her death seemed pretty tame lol. I did too love her character arch and where it was going though.....
Yeah I know they were more brutal but she found those sodas for Tara and was giving some really good advice to Daryl and then BAM.
You can blame Tara for Denise's death. I guarantee Tara was meant to get the arrow through the head, but the actress was pregnant and had to stop filming after episode 12 of that season. I feel like Denise was tacked on to that death because of that.
Hmmm, that's interesting. I still like Tara though. It'd help if they showed her at all lol. I guess you aren't keeping up with the show? X-D
God that's awful. I'm not keeping up. Maggie and Glenn are my faves and I tried to continue with it but it just gave me this sad, empty feeling in my stomach. I just wanted to know what Maggie is up to.
I was just making a joke. I'm not sure exactly how far along she is, but she should be showing at least a little bit.
