But Negan was supposed to be this huge thing for the show that would draw in so many more fans. I don't see his appeal. His best moment is when he casually referred to Rick as "prick" in a moment of serious dialogue.
This is true also. I don't see him as much of a physical threat. He talks a good game, and has dozens of armed men backing him, but alone and without his bat, he's just a normal dude. They needed something "thicker" to play Negan. Someone with a heavy upper body who looks physically imposing. At least while wearing a leather jacket. People said Jon Hamm fit the role, so someone along those lines.
Yea, well...no. A square-jawed physically imposing while not comically big type of man. Which is ironic since Negan is a comic character.
Jon Hamm doesn't strike me as more physically imposing than JDM. I think they would both be as good. His intro would've been perfect if there was no cliffhanger. It's just the fact that virtually nobody on this show is really written well right now.
I looked up both dudes and they're the same height (6'2). I don't know why, but Hamm seems bigger to me. Or maybe JDM is just really skinny. He was for sure large in The Watchmen.
A friend was trying to argue that TWD has the best character development of any show on TV right now. Like...just because its been on for years doesnt mean that the characters have developed a great deal.
But Eugene was confident for like a minute and remember when Tara was all goofy? She's totally coming out of her shell! Lol this show has practically zero character development at this point.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan Made An Embarrassing Slip-Up On The Walking Dead. I never even noticed. Don't think it's that big of a deal. However, considering this is the only scene where it's been pointed out, maybe he and everyone else on set just forgot or didn't pay attention.
If tonight's episode isn't good I'm just going to binge the rest before the season finale. And then assess how I feel about continuing lol. I feel pretty over this show right now
I'm not fussed about if he had a phone I'd keep mine and play Angry Birds on airplane mode anyway as they have generators
Hmmm I kinda wonder, if the apocalypse came very suddenly as it did in the show with widespread panic, would the companies change the frequency signals or shut down cellular towers ahead of saving their own lives? And would the cell towers continue to work? Free service 4 everybody.
This is the type of episode that keeps me invested in this show. Really, really enjoyed everything about this.
