I listen to Watching Dead on iTunes and the argument was made that the episode mirrored a lot of old Star Trek stuff. Like Rick stumbling onto a mysterious planet, meeting a weird race and then fighting something in order to prove himself...hilarious shit.
Those trash people were fucking stupid. It's only been two-three years. They wouldn't be talking like that, wearing all black, and surviving in that world. Also, they wouldn't ALL have stupidass names like Jadis or Tamiel. The Daryl Carol scenes were alright but that whole trash plot was mind numbing-ly STUPID. I hate that I can't stop watching this show.
There are weird people in the world, doesn't seem that farfetched to think they found each other and made a weird community.
On top of that, with how big the damn junkyard is (and probably close to Alexandria and everything else) how in the hell have the Saviors not been there? You'd think that with as many cars as the Saviors have, obviously you'd want to hold a junkyard for parts, right?
When Rick was shoved into the junk hole....man was that bad acting/cheesy. Then the Rick smile with the poorly CGIed junk yard in the background......oh my.
Technically, the series stopped being logical 3 minutes into the first episode when a zombie appeared
So the Junkyard people aren't in the comics? So the series is just doing what they always do, which is recycling (no pun intended) storyline after storyline? Oh, the group runs into bad people again? Cool... How long are they going to continue to go on with this? The worst about this group is, they're literally doing the same thing The Saviors are doing, which is 'owning' people. Such lazy writing.
Logical within the created universe is not too much to ask for. If you want human drama in an otherwise outrageous concept, do not have a strange sub-set of people living in the area. It's just weird and doesn't make sense. Then again, I'd love to see Negan going back and forth with those people, making fun of how they talk and probably emulating it.
I figured, but I'm talking more on the writing decisions of the show. Kirkman's rhetoric doesn't match what's written.
A spoiler that was leaked before I quit looking at spoilers. Something they do in the future will ultimately lead to their demise.
I mean, from the look of everyone's hate for this show in here I'd say no one wants to accept her reason, but it's because of the promise she made not to tell since they saved her life. I think it'll get to a point where she'll finally break and tell Rick. I bet she's worried that Rosita will go nuts and try to take the guns by force.
Did you notice Tara's reaction when rick mentioned her looking/finding weapons? I think that was a clear hint to her run in with the beach/woods people lol.
