I feel like the whole point was to see how evil and brutal that scene is and to show the looks of horror in everyone else's faces, so I'm hoping they at least rewind and replay the scene in third person in the premiere, otherwise this was a very wasted opportunity.
Because they didn't immediately reveal who it was? The point is to keep everyone guessing and talking all off-season.
We've got to be looking at a very quiet summer as far as season seven teasers go. Who can they show us that won't give anything away? Rick, Carol, Morgan and Judith I guess? Tara? She's still around, right? God.
I somehow got spoiled on who he kills in the comic. I think it was on AP. (To hell with whoever it was wherever it was). But I think the could go a umber of ways considering they do mix some things up on the show compared to the comics. Haven't read the comics so idk, and I don't want to know unless I ever decide to pick those up. Sucks that spoilers happen and it really digs at me. However I really enjoyed the insane amount on tension this episode delivered. Just all out peril as it built up throughout. Cliffhanger was somewhat a bummer but I understand for a TV standpoint. Having a red wedding type thing would have been crazy for sure...... Now idk how in the world s7 will even start out. Probably with some off the wall not related thing.
We know that's what the point is, but it just butchers the impact of the scene and it also leaves everybody completely unsatisfied because they've been building up to this all season. Everybody was gonna watch the next season anyways, regardless of the cliffhanger. It's the most watched show on TV, they don't need to bait people into watching the next season with cheap cliffhangers.
I read that Lauren said the cast doesn't even know who died, which if true really annoys me since Andrew Lincoln said he was physically ill over shooting it. They hyped it up like they were going to show it.
JDM nailed it. The casting this season has been stellar. Such a satisfyingly tense episode. The ending really didn't bother me as much as I thought it would coming off of Negan's introduction.
Well that was dumb. His introduction was perfection but it will ultimately be remembered for the failure that is every second from now until the premiere. It's 2016, we're going to know who died just like we know that Game of Thrones fucked up last year in the same way.
Yeah there's no need for a cliffhanger to get people talking in the offseason. It's the most popular show on TV. People would've talked about it just as much if they showed who he kills.
I hope nobody watches Fear The Walking Dead and it doesn't get to a third season. This ending probably just burned out a lot of people on the brand.
I didn't want a cliffhanger to happen but I wasn't mad at the finale. Switching up the POV during eeny meeny made it really dramatic, imo. JDM is such a dreamboat to me so I was wondering how I was going to react to him portraying the big, bad Negan and he killed it.
they had a chance to do something no one has ever done before. i've never had that level of anxiety during any television scene and they really fucked it up
Morgan had some great moments in this. People should be excited for where they're headed. The Kingdom, Ezekiel, and hopefully Shiva. I really want to see a tiger fighting Saviors/zombies.
"Man, I was going to stop watching the show once Neegan killed someone, but I guess I'll have to keep going" - No one
Yeah, that sure wasn't great but I understand what they were going for I guess. I'm very excited for what's to come next year though, the cliffhanger will mean nothing because it's 2016 and it'll leak like tomorrow lol
Exactly my thoughts... There's selling the show, and then there's overdoing it. Saying the thought of this scene made him so sick and Lauren saying it was the hardest day of filming was a little much over an implied death of an unknown character.
So far every storyline there has been to look forward to has been handled terribly, e.g. Governor, Wolves, Negan. Not sure why anyone would be excited for the future of the show based on what they know of the source material.
Loved the episode. It sounds like the showrunners don't even know who they are going to kill off. Now they have like six months to mull it over I guess ha. Really looking forward to next season. Not upset about the cliffhanger at all. Hell especially since we all expected it anyhow. Ready for some Fear The Walking Dead now.
And I feel like I have zero faith for it now to be one of the biggest characters. That was the time to do it if it's like Glenn or Daryl. If they start the season with it being Rosita or someone it'll be like "who gives a shit"
just feels like this particular cast has a cloak of invincibility, its hard to really invest in their well-being anymore because they get out of every single ridiculous situation nearly unscathed, at some point you need a "red wedding" type moment to suck you back in its never going to happen though, maybe not until this show is on fumes in a few more seasons and nearing the end
