Trump isn't really all that dumb either. Just extremely ignorant with a selfish mindset and only cares for his own and those like him. Also willing to impose his views and beliefs on those who have to accept him as a leader and suffer if they don't. SOUNDS LIKE NEGAN TO ME haha.
This ep was great IMO, but they proved they can balance all the major characters' stories in on episode pretty well - WHY DON'T THEY DO MORE OF IT!!! That ending was spectacular, even the tacky-ass music. Rick reunited with his bro and his piece - if his friend hadn't almost died in zombie water then got beat up pretty bad, and his babysitter hadn't been shot in the face he'd have taken that day's events when he woke up! Oh my GOD!!! Such a good comparison!
I loved Negan's reaction after Rosita tried to kill him. Thought that was pretty great. Also, how funny would it have been if Carl actually did try to shoot and kill Negan but missed by like six inches. Because unless his aim has somehow improved, that would have been a sight to see.
Negan really has been pretty lenient on Rick's group. I don't know if I've said it before in here, but when Negan gets over the top, I like to keep in mind that he's literally a comic book villain who carries around a baseball bat. How much of Rick's decision at the end of that episode had to do with Carl leaving the damn house again? Kid was there in the circle when his people died, almost lost a hand, has only one eye and still chose to fight
He was probably like "Well, I'll keep looking like a weak b**** if I keep giving in to Negan, and since everyone else is adamant we fight, guess I have to fight"
If I was Negan, I would be super impressed with Carl overall. Kills him mom, loses an eye but still lives life and doesn't bitch about it, sneaks over to Negan's hood by himself (to Negan anyways), and guns down several of his men, with Negan in view. That takes some serious balls, something which Negan appreciates.
But I would also be terrified of Carl. And I don't know if Negan realizes he was literally inches away from being dead. Shit luck that Lucille got in the way of that bullet. He just walks around with no cares that anyone could easily still have a gun and just off him. Pretty cocky.
The ending of this episode when they were all staring at each other and then walking away as a "family" was one of the more uncomfortably hilarious endings to a Fast and Furious movie. I kept waiting for them to cut to like a dog or something.
Glad somebody else said it. Pretty great episode except for that super cheesy ending and walk off. Also am a little tired of the fake outs. Aaron getting pulled in and even submerged at times by zombies just to escape without a scratch is BS. Not that I wanted his character gone, but enough is enough with the fake outs. You've been using the same hand of filler ideas in between the big episodes for too long Kirkman/Nicotero/Who gives a shit else.
Yeah glad I wasn't the only one who thought so. Though I was thinking that they were all headed inside to kind of "take over" and remove Gregory from his leader position and/or just come to terms of some kind of alliance. Also, I'm not buying the chemistry or attraction between Carl and Enid AT ALL.
Do you guys think hearing about Glenn and Abraham is what will get Morgan and Carol to change their mind about the war? Seems fitting enough.
I donno. If there was only one other kid my age in the apocalypse I can see how I might become attached. And it's not like they are ugly or anything... but I guess Carl only has one eye and looks like a chick.
No I mean I'm not buying their attraction on screen. I can see how they would be drawn to each other, but their acting isn't doing them any favors. It feels forced in a way.
I know they were holding back with the pig guy who's name I wish I knew. The whole time I'm like holy fuck just tell him it won't work lol I assume that it will take more for Carol to get over her shit than Glenn/Abraham Edit: I think it'll be Daryl who convinces her.
