That fake out with Heath was lame too btw. Why is that the only Walker to not be covered in cement? I guess he'll come back after 24?

I took a really cool panoramic picture of Alexandria but imgur won't let me post it.

You'd think a show about surviving a zombie apocalypse would by default have some good action scenes, but it's never really been the case with this show. Not to say there's never been good moments but by and large it's been the B movie you compared the bridge scene to.

Yeah, that was the worst part of the episode imo. There was one other normal looking walker beside it, but yeah, pretty lame.

You guys probably all knew this but JDM confirmed Negan and the Saviors will go into Season 8. I figured he would, but was kind of hoping Negan storyline would be finished by end of Season 7.

Any thoughts to as whether he'll go through entire season 8 or just half season? I'm betting half season.

Are you at all familiar with the comic book?

No! Not at all! Just based on the comic book material we could probably come up with a good answer to your question but it would also be somewhat spoilery.

Who knows? The pacing of this show has been so inconsistent with the comic books. Parts where I thought it would take a season to go through were done in two episodes. Now, with the current setup of spending a full episode on everyone else at other locations, Negan could go out to season 10.

I've never read the comics, however I do hear spoilers here and there and know some of the upcoming plotlines but as @colorlesscliche mentioned, sometimes the show sticks to the timelines and sometimes it wraps things up quicker than expected or changes parts here and there. So I don't think anyone can know for sure.

Like I said, I assumed the Negan storyline would continue to the 8th season but was somewhat hoping it'd be over by the end of this season. I haven't been biggest fan of this season and can only take Negan in small doses. Too much screentime and his character gets annoying and not too believable for me.

Also, this was the first I heard it actually being confirmed for sure that Negan would be in season 8.

I guess that's true. I suppose they could finish him up in season 8 but I also wouldn't be surprised if he was still around in season 12.

Thoooooough the way the show is going maybe I'd be surprised if the show itself was still around in season 12.

How long was Negan in the comics for? I thought He was introduced around issue 100 and is gone by now (where are they now, Issue 160?) I don't know how long a timeframe each issue is, but I assumed he wasn't around that long.

I've been saying for a few seasons now, I'm just ready for The Walking Dead to start wrapping things up. I'm afraid they're going to go on and on and on because it's a ratings killer (although I think ratings haven't been as strong this year) and a huge money maker. I don't want them to keep going on and on with less substance just because it remains popular. I'd rather it go out while it's still strong with a great ending.

Ending it seems weird to me since the comic is still going.

Even if they deviate from books quite a bit and ending Negan's story early, I still would want another season of him since we've only seen him a few times so far. I want more :-)

Hopefully Tom Cruise can give her some acting lessons! Say what you will about him, his acting is so great.

If i'm thinking correctly, and this is at your own will to read, Negan is still alive in the comics, and is kept hostage for years.

As far as Negan in the comics is concerned he was imprisoned at the end of the All Out War arc and kept there for a few years. Then, of course, he escaped with the help of an annoying teenage character who promptly dies thereafter. Negan makes his way to the Whisperers camp which he infiltrates by claiming to be on their side. He then kills their leader and brings the head back to Rick to "prove" his loyalty. He is currently a part of the war against the Whisperers though no one really trusts him, rightfully so.

I always thought his arc would go that way, but I stopped keeping up with the comics. Sounds super interesting and a great direction, but honestly, I think they could get to that point within a couple of seasons. Something tells me they are going to draw it out for years and years before it even reaches that part of the story...

The big question (and reason why I think Negan will deviate from the comics a ton) is can they keep JDM contacted for that long to do all that? I think the TV audience who don't care about the books will want blood after Glenn and Abraham and they could be backlash if he just becomes a good guy.

To be clear, he's still definitely not a good guy in the comics. Negan only really ever cares about Negan. It's just so transparent, which is why I've never particularly been a fan of the character. I find him grating.

I stopped a little after All Out War, so I haven't gotten to that point yet. I still wonder how long they can keep him on the show? It sounds like he'd be involved for like 4 seasons if not more depending on how long his comic arc goes on for.

Damn, I didn't know all that. I would not be surprised at all if the show deviates from that storyline and just eventually kills him.

Is he imprisoned in the cell that Morgan was making in Alexandria?
