Lol I get your point. I read your first sentence as mocking people who criticize him, my bad. Unfortunately I do find him distractingly bad. Let's face it, good dialogue as a whole is pretty rare, the show has good lines sometimes but Carl definitely isn't going to be handed much great dialogue. Things like his slap fight with Ron last year was so bad I couldn't believe it even made it into the episode as filmed lol.
Yeah that slap fight was fucking terrible, but he's done many scenes I've enjoyed tbh (any time he's with Michonne, almost all of that ep where he ate pudding lol). I think the writers keep making the character do dumb stuff too which doesn't help viewer perception of him.
This show, in general, has been notorious for writing younger characters that everyone hates for some reason. It's kind of hilarious after a while. Carl has always been kind of bad, but fighting with Ron over that emo girl all the time was a major drag in the show. Those three were just fighting and bickering about nothing important with zombies right outside the walls. Then there was a major celebration when Ron and his little brother died. Very few shows get a positive reaction when the child characters die. haha.
Was Rick admitting that he knows that Judith (or whatever that baby's name is) isn't really his child supposed to be some huge revelation? I honestly forgot about it until someone mentioned it on facebook just now
I actually forgot that Judith was a thing until someone mentioned the word asskicker in a totally non related to TWD conversation a week ago with me Also I don't Carl but pleassseeee cut that hair!! I thought I'd like it better washed. But after this week I even preferred it greasy
Thought Rick's confession of knowing it was Shane's baby was well done. First time Rick talking sentimental didn't put me off. The worst is easily him talking to the Governor at the gates.
The dialogue sucked butts for the Governor at the gates part, I can't remember Rick's exact line but just before The Governor kills Herschel I recall it being so bad I just shouted "FUCK OFF" at the TV screen lol
I think the problem with Carl's lines and delivery has something to do with his comic book counterpart being younger. They're trying to make him act the age of his comic book self but it's coming out like balls.
So like, the time it's taken to film and the division into seasons don't match the passage of time in the comics narrative? He was probably around the same age as his character at the start.
I do find it amusing with US television (with the theory about the dick down your throat line being the reason for extended ep) that they'll censor language but have brutal violence. Case in point the copy of Mr Robot I've been watching they censor all curse words but then shot someone point blank in the face straight before
Ahhh fantastic!! I saw that poster and thought to myself "there's got to be some relevance in how predominant that's on the wall" Now to work out his blinks
Wait, where was the morse code poster? Or did someone just post that next to the gif because they think Daryl is trying to communicate that way?
Hahaha! If the next plot point it Rick telling the group he knows where the Saviours' base is because Daryl told him "East"......
Yeah was a giant poster early on the episode. Maybe when Michonne was sneaking out the house I think It gave off one of those modern house garnishings you get from IKEA or whatever. I know around here people get similar of local beaches written like that or train stations. Trendy at the moment. But I notice that that lingered on it
