Pretty sure that was diegetic music. They were actually playing that music over and over to torture Daryl.
Walking Dead S1 started on October 31, 2010 Walking Dead Issue 100 (Negan's comic) was released July 11, 2012 Issue 159 (latest issue) was released on October 5th, 2016
I've read all the comics in just over a week and I never realised how different the two are until reading them.
Was referring to the opening scene profiling Dwight's day-to-day in Negan's compound, not Daryl's torture.
Episode was good for sure, but I feel we could've learned a lot more about Negan & the Saviours than we did (like expand on the 'points' thing, how many 'wives' Negan has, or someone being ironed or whatever). And yes, this ep felt super short - in the UK the first ad break was huge because it had a big trailer for that new show Mars (or something?)
What are your guy's favorite Walking Dead podcasts? I like to watch Talking Dead, but don't always have another whole hour to watch. I would like something that I can listen to after particularly traumatic episodes. Hearing people nerd out about the show brings me comfort. It's been 2 relatively calmer episodes since that premiere yet I still don't think I have recovered.
This is correct. The A on Daryl's outfit stands for "Asshole". The point is kind of driven home when Dwight pushes Daryl against the fence, we cut to a shot of the back of Daryl's outfit where we see the A and Dwight then calls him "Asshole".
Watching Dead is a great one. These two dudes go into a complete review breakdown of every episode, with fan feedback and a spoiler section at the very end. They're also funny dudes. Always posted the follwing day after the new episode is aired. Highly recommend.
I want to hate Negan but I enjoy the character and his charisma. I also really liked this episode, made up for the last 2.
