Interesting; not having read the comics, and seeing Talking Dead tonight, Morgan and Carol never actually got to meet Ezekiel in the comics. Both I guess died several issues before The Kingdom was introduced
After last week, that episode was like a cool breeze on a hot summer night. Ezekiel's showmanship is so much better than Negan's haha
Carol died in the prison by suicide by walker and Morgan died when Alexandria was overrun. His death was similar to Tyrese in the show; he was bit on the arm, but didn't survive the amputation.
The introduction of two majorly awesome characters is what this show really needed. I was talking to some friends and family about this show over the weekend and realized I didn't remember/care about 90% of the characters who died in past seasons. They all just kinda ran together.
Negan and Ezekiel are the most intriguing new characters we've had since the Governor. Yeah, that was a long ass time ago.
I had the exact same impression as Carol when we were introduced to K.E. However, when he opened up to Carol at the end of the episode, I think I started to really like him. Shiva is awesome and is the best pet to have by your side during a zombi-riddled apocalyptic environment. What better place for Ezekiel and Carol to meet than a stage? They are the two best actors still alive that are putting their talents to use ha. So Carol is staying like a mile down the road from The Kingdom? Can someone explain what affects, if any, eating the tainted meat would cause? Since everybody already has it, would it do anything besides supply a seemingly horrible taste? (Don't eat it Daryl!) I can't wait to see Jerry in action. That one zombie kill where they slice that zombies face in half, vertically, is one of the best zombie kills to date, I think. When Zeke shouted that line at the walkers after feeding the pigs, I couldn't help but chuckle. Was that real? Does he really mean that? Haha.
I would think that by eating walker flesh/blood/meat, the pigs take on whatever virus/nastiness that the walker has, getting it into it's blood/meat, so when Negan's men eat the pork, they'll probably get sick themselves. What doesn't quite make sense then, is that if a mass portion of Negan's men get sick, they obviously know where they got the pigs from, so wouldn't they then assume the pigs they received were intentionally poisoned somehow?
Not quite sure; whatever nasty shit is in walker blood/flesh, gets into the meat of the pigs, and then into Negan's men once they eat it. Being a show about an impossible reality, it could mean anything really, haha
I mean, they'd just assume they got bitten and said nothing if they became zombies. The people on this show are walking around sporting open wounds and mutilating zombies that then squirt blood all over them, so I'm not sure how ingestion would work in terms of having a harmful effect.
at best it would be similar to eating pigs in real life that have consumed spoiled, rotten flesh. probably not much.
The show needs to bring Jesus to the forefront. He's up there with Ezekial as of the only few characters I truly enjoy.
I would imagine it's not in the idea that they believe it will cause them to turn and kickstart the virus in them, but more so make them physically sick and have them weaker/in need of meds/getting the flu much like what happened to the group in the prison.
I feel like anyone questioning what effect the tainted pigs will have on the Saviors has put more thought into it than the show runners have.
I think Rick and the group took them out before they got to that point. I do think an infection from the pig meat wiping out some of Negan's guys is the only way to really make it an even fight. The saviors outnumber them by SO many
They could possible get sick but not zombie sick. Just good ol fashioned gastro I'm thinking it as a little bit of spitefulness like others are Yeah I was trying to think back to Bobs leg too overnight. And in the video game there's a scene where the main character try's not to let a kid eat human meat (but prob more out of it just being a crook thing for a kid to have to do)
