I liked Daryl like in season 1or 2 or something but I've been bored with him for a long while. and it gets me on my rage how the women are always well kept and hair brushed and makeup on and then there's Daryl with a greasy ferret on his head.
Don't quote me on this but I don't think hes showered since Meryl died. The closest was when it poured right before they met Aaron.
I felt sick the majority of the episode. I'm glad that Abraham took it upright. Glenn was brutal but somehow it wasn't as affecting as the comic was when I read it for the first time. I was also really taken with how Daryl was reacting to all of it. He seemed the most horrified of everyone and that dude had already seen and been through a lot. Poor child. ;-; I liked how they shot Rick's "excursion" with Negan. Felt cold, dream-like, purgatory-ish. etc. Appropriate. "Get my hatchet." Yeesh. I thought the dinner sequence was a nice touch but they could've cut back from it a little sooner, it lingered a bit too long for my taste. Overall I really enjoyed the episode. But I watched Playtest from the latest Black Mirror season just before and the combination of the two left me spent lol.
Yeah I haven't been a Daryl fan really since the entire Beth/Daryl in the cabin episode. I zoned out of most of that and he's just been filthy and a wasted character since. I just don't get the appeal at all.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Daryl now. I wonder if they are setting up him betraying the group and joining The Saviors. I think that they've toyed with this notion before.
In the books we get a look at the Saviors and how their community works through the eyes of Carl, so I think they'll just do that with Daryl since Carl always gets the shaft in the show. I don't think they'll go the route of having Daryl question his allegiance again.
I just saw that alternate scene with Maggie and it made me feel really, really sick. Thank you AMC for not showing a pregnant woman getting her skull caved in.
it's really blurry leaked footage that I think came out today, and you really shouldn't. i shouldn't have. ugh.
It came out last weekend before Sunday's premiere, presumably in a last minute attempt to throw off those who read the spoilers way in advance. It's definitely disturbing to watch.
Didn't the actual episode show everyone get their heads bashed in a "what could have happened" scene?
